We are currently looking for a Sales Engineer who will be responsible for all technical aspects of the Sales cycle, providing essential technical expertise to help the Sales teams win business from new and existing customers.

The Sales Engineer is responsible for bringing Natural Language Processing and AI to life for prospective and existing customers. This is a creative role, where standard ‘artefact’ demonstrations need to be presented in a way relevant to the business opportunity. The core platform needs to be presented and explained to a variety of levels, emphasising uniqueness and differentiation.

During the Sales Cycle it is also required that the Sales Engineer, in conjunction with other members of the team, build bespoke demonstration solutions, specifically relevant to the prospect. Sales Engineers typically take a lead role in running workshops with prospects around our technology.

All of the above require significant ‘face to face’ exposure and technical interaction with clients.  Professionalism, flexibility, product and domain expertise, and the ability to communicate that expertise to a wide variety of audiences are key attributes for this role.

You will be focusing on:

  • Conducting or participating with the sales team in client workshops, trials, evaluations, proof of concepts and any other technical aspect of the Pre-sales process
  • Identifying technical customer requirements and translating them into efficient solutions architecture
  • Delivering technical presentations and demonstrations of Artificial Solutions product range to a wide spectrum of audience
  • Providing technical responses to RFI/RFP/tender completion and submission
  • Liaising with Professional Services and other departments as a part of the Pre-Sales and Post Sales activities

 

Your experience should include:

  • Minimum 3 years’ Software Pre-Sales or Consultancy / Implementation experience in web based solutions
  • Strong presentation skills to articulate features, functions and benefits of Natural Language solutions
  • Previous client facing experience
  • Expertise in natural language processing / dialog systems would be a plus

 

Technical Skills:

  • Deep knowledge of web based development and design as well as object oriented programming languages (particularly Java) and a broad and detailed understanding of technology
  • You should have good skills within most of the below areas/ technologies/ methodologies:
  1. JavaScript, Perl, PHP, Groovy
  2. HTML, XHTML, CSS, XML, Ajax
  3. JUnit, integration testing
  4. ASR / TTS
  5. ASP, JSP
  6. Apache Tomcat
  7. Microsoft SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL
  8. NetBeans
  9. Agile development is nice to have

 

 Languages:

  •  Native command of English - both verbally and written is a must
  • Any other languages will be a plus

 Ability to communicate technical subject matter to non-technical people

  • Ability to quickly grasp, understand and learn new technical skills and programs
